Simply plug-in Momentum II into the Springboard slot of any Handspring Visor and scan! Unlike other more expensive dedicated PDT's with integrated scanners, the Momentum II/Handspring Visor solution gives you the flexibility to utilize the Springboard slot for other activities. Big Performance In A Small Size
The Momentum II module is a powerful bar code scanner. It features a bright 650nm laser, which will scan accurately in a multitude of lighting conditions, including both indoor and outdoor applications. It is also capable of decoding and autodiscriminating all of the most popular symbologies. Momentum II can scan thousands of bar codes from the power it receives from its host Handspring Visor, making it ideal for low or high volume scanning applications. In addition, the Momentum II scanner provides 2MB of flash memory for storing applications and databases, without using the memory of the host Handspring Visor. The included Handspring File Mover application lets users back up programs and information from the Handspring Visor right into the module's memory. Since its flash memory, the Momentum II scanner won't lose its programming, or any stored data, even if the Handspring Visor's batteries run out.

Also included with the Momentum II scanner is a simple bar code scanning application that stores scanned bar code information in a list that can be transferred to a PC via the Handspring's HotSync cradle. Since the software resides in the Momentum II module, it provides simple auto-load convenience. When inserted, the Handspring Visor computer will come to life and launch the software automatically. Third party applications can also be configured to take advantage of Momentum II's auto-load feature.
