The Opticon PHL-2700 has the ability to power you through a full day's work on a single charge. The unit's eight mega bytes memory is can handle intensive data collection applications with ease. The clever design of the Opticon PHL-2700 extends battery life and protects data. This terminal operates on two AA batteries or an optional rechargeable battery (NiMH) pack. The low battery drain can be further reduced using the selectable automatic power-down feature. Data is maintained through battery backup for up to 30 days even when main battery power is lost.
The Opticon PHL-2700 is ergonomic and light weight with a simple keypad layout anyone can use and is full of with features usually found in more costly terminals.
The extremely large, backlit LCD display provides excellent viewing in dim or bright lighting. 26 keys can be programmed for user-defined functions. A conveniently located IrDA port on the Optiplex PHL-2700 allows communications directly to belt-mounted devices such as portable printers.
Communications and charging are automatic. Up to 10 cradles can be daisy chained through a single communications port.
A simple program generator, RapidGEN, is factory installed allowing even non-technical personnel to quickly develop and customize applications. More advanced programming aids are available for more experienced programmers. The PHL 2700 is a compact dynamo with a very attractive price.
