The PPT 2700 + Series, a member of the Pocket PC-based terminals, combines the strengths of the Pocket PC platform with productivity-enhancing features that include barcode scanning and real-time wireless communication options. All PPT 2700 + Pocket PC terminals include a rechargeable 1400 mA-hr lithium ion battery and an integrated Symbol barcode laser scanner capable of reading both 1D barcodes and/or standard 2D PDF417 barcodes. This new series of products is well suited for applications in markets that include work and field automation, transportation, healthcare, hospitality, warehousing and many others. All units ship with one product reference guide.

A Family of Rugged, Pocketable Windows -based Computers
Symbol Technologies continues its revolution of pocketable computing with the
PPT 2700 + , combining ruggedized mobility, barcode scanning and wireless
LAN connectivity with the new Microsoft Pocket PC platform. This pen-based family
of mobile data management devices now offers companies the opportunity to leverage
the familiarity and flexibility of the Microsoft Windows operating system in
feature-rich pocketable computers.
Designed to fit comfortably in either hand, the PPT 2700 + operates by
touch or pen input and allows the user to navigate applications through the
familiar Windows-based environment. Buttons and triggers are ergonomically positioned
to ensure convenient one-handed operation in either hand. Weighing less than
12 oz/335 gm and measuring only 7 in./17.8 cm high, the PPT 2700 + enables users
to capture, compute and communicate data from anywhere across the enterprise.
A member of the "Extreme Environments" category of Symbol products, the Symbol
PPT 2700 + is sealed to IP54 standards for protection against windblown rain and
dust, and withstands multiple drops to concrete up to 4-ft/1.2 m. This enables
users to collect and manage data in places other Windows CE devices, like personal
organizers, simply can't – at the point of activity. |
