National Barcode Symbol MC3100 Review
The Motorola MC3100 is the perfect mobile computer
for users that need a rugged device with plenty of features at a lower
cost of entry. While it is not as over the top rugged as the MC9500-K
series, it can still hold its own in indoor environments. The
MC3100 is a great fit for warehouses, distribution centers, and even
retail applications that will be regularly using the device. It
can definitely handle drops to concrete and plenty of daily abuse.
Compared to some of the smaller data collectors like the Honeywell Dolphin 9700,
the MC3100 provides an equally rugged and capable device but with
greater configurability. A big advantage of the MC3100 is the
fact that you can essentially create any configuration you need.
If you are working in a batch only application you can get a unit
without a WiFi radio. Need bigger buttons? Just select one of the
3 keypad choices. The variety of options on the MC3100 make it an
affordable option for an industrial worthy device in any
