| Keyport is Datatech's software wedge for the Windows environment. It is ideal for connecting any serial scanner (or other devices like scales, microscopes, etc.) to your PC.
Keyport takes ASCII input from a serial port and sends the data as keystrokes to a Windows program. Keyport allows you to re-map ASCII characters to any key or any combination of keys up to 255 strokes long. Characters can also trigger actions such as bringing a window to front, or running an application.
Version 4.0 allows the user to define different transactions for each window. Keyport automatically detects which window is in front and verbally guides the user through the transaction (patent pending.)
Version 4.1 can be configured to automatically detect and process data from your GM 1724 labels. Your application will receive only the data that it requires when you scan GM 1724 labels.
